British Film Institute
Stuart Burnside Video Game Certification Analyst, British Film Institute |
Stuart is a video game analyst at the British Film Institute (BFI) and is responsible for assessing projects that apply for British video game certification. Working closely with developers from around the country, Stuart is on hand to offer advice on the certification process and also provide additional information on the creative sector tax reliefs. He regularly talks at events around the country such as EGX, EGX Rezzed, London Games Festival, and many others.
Unreal Engine - Epic Games

Paul Doyle is Director of Product Management for Unreal Engine at Epic Games, focusing on character technologies. He has worked in the media & entertainment industry for over 20 years at companies such as Softimage and Autodesk, before co-founding Fabric Engine in 2010. Before joining Epic in 2019, Paul was Global Head of R&D at MPC Film, where he led the software teams that worked on films such as Lion King, Aquaman, and 1917.

Naz Aletaha serves as the Head of Global Esports Partnerships & Business Development at Riot Games where she has spearheaded groundbreaking partnerships for League of Legends Esports including Mastercard, Verizon, Louis Vuitton, Spotify, Mercedes-Benz and State Farm. Since joining Riot in 2012, Naz has catalyzed the evolution of esports from a niche competition into the fastest growing global sport, drawing interest and investment from traditional sports and entertainment industries as well as those closely aligned with esports.

Andy Robertson is a journalist for national newspapers and broadcasters. He has worked with families and video games for 15 years. His recent Taming Gaming book is supported by a Family Video Game Database resource to help parents make informed choices about video games, loot boxes, violence and online interactions.

Dr Joe Twist, OBE CEO, Ukie |
Dr Jo Twist has been CEO of Ukie since 2012. Before this she was Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor for Education, where she commissioned Digital Emmy-winning Battlefront II, free to play browser and iOS games, (Sweatshop, Nomnation and International Racing Squirrels) and social media projects. Dr Twist is Chair of the BAFTA Games Committee and is a member of the Creative Industries Council. She is also a Visiting Professor at Ravensbourne University, a Trustee for Historic Royal Palaces, a London Tech Ambassador, a VP of Special Effect, and sits on various other advisory groups. Dr Twist was awarded an OBE for her services to the creative industries in 2016.

Andy is an experienced video games entrepreneur and investor of 35 years and has worked with many of the world’s top studios & publishers, running Mastertronic from 1988 – 2015. He chaired trade body Ukie from 2005-2015 and is was a board member until September 2020. He is a board advisor at games developer Bossa Studios and a founder of games industry charity, GamesAid, where he is now a Patron, as well as being a patron of BAFTAworking with them to develop their presence in games. Andy founded mobile & tablet specialist AppyNation and Good Shepherd, which is the world’s first equity based crowdfunding platform for games and movies. Andy was founder of simulation specialists Just Flight, where he is now CEO and a VP of games charity, Special Effect. Andy is chair of The British Esports Association and a board adviser to the world’s biggest esports company, ESL and sits on the Creative Industries Federation UK Council.

Al leads DigitalOcean's Product Development teams, including Compute, Networking and Storage. He is responsible for driving innovation and velocity in our key services and products to meet the evolving demands of our customers. Prior to DigitalOcean, he held VP of Engineering roles at DDN and NexGen Storage – which was acquired by Fusion-io and SanDisk. He has also held several technical and management roles at Hewlett-Packard and holds patents in cloud storage. He studied Computer Science at St. Cloud State University and received his MBA from Colorado State University.

Matt Hall has a background in AAA working for Eutechnyx as an animator, working on titles such as the Nascar the Game Series, Warhammer Storm of Vengeance and played a role in the start-up of Zerolight.
Chris Jeffrey has been developing indie games for over 14 years working on popular titles such as Space is Key, boasting over 150 million plays worldwide. He has worked with a range of partners including - Miniclip, Armorgames, Newgrounds, Kongregate, Nickelodeon and MTV.
